Real-time human detection, tracking with geographical localization
in flood-affected regions using drone

We built a quadcopter drone to detect and locate humans from above in flooded regions using a fine-tuned YOLO. We used the arducopter microcontroller as flight controller and sent the video feed to the ground station (a laptop) for running YOLO.
Bangla Calendar Clock 3.0

We implemented a Bangla Calender Clock showing Bangla calendar date and time along with English calendar date and time in Bangla alphabets and numerals. The system also had automatic time synchronization in case of power failure without internet connection. This was an extension of the Bangla Calender Clock 2.0 done by our previous batch, and our department senior Saleh Ahmed Khan provided a lot of help along with the codes of their version. Facial Expression Classification using Deep Learning

We reimplemented the machine learning model from a journal paper title ”Facial Expression Recognition Using Multi-Branch Attention Convolutional Neural Network” by Yinggang He from scratch as there was no code available for it, slightly changed some parameters to gain a slightly higher accuracy. We used Keras and Tensorflow as ML libraries. The codes are here.
Solar based UPS with Voltage Level Control,

We applied knowledge of electronic circuits and components to implement sampling or time-axis discretization of an analog signal and reconstructing it to original signal using filters.
